In the state of California s specialty C-15 Flooring & Floor Covering Contractor provides floor & floor covering services such as putting in new kitchen laminate in a client’s home or installing carpet in a commercial building. This license enables a contractor to install many types of flooring including carpet, tile, laminate, wood and bamboo. At Contractors State License Services we can assist you in passing the contractor’s exam in that specialty. The CSLB defines a Flooring & Floor covering contractor as follows:

A flooring and floor covering contractor prepares any surface for the installation of flooring and floor coverings, and installs carpet, resilient sheet goods, resilient tile, wood floors and flooring (including the finishing and repairing thereof), and any other materials established as flooring and floor covering material, except ceramic tile.

The California Contractors State License Board requires a minimum of four years journeyman level experience to apply for a California Contractors license.
