Live Scan Fingerprint Services
For your convenience, Contractors State License Services offers Live Scan Fingerprinting services at their school locations for all types of employment, licenses or certifications that require background checks. Attention Contractors:
The California Contractors State License Board requires that all applicants for a California Contractors License submit a full set of fingerprints for the purpose of conducting a criminal background check. This process is a requirement of any officer, partner, owner, RME or home improvement salesperson.
Once your license application has been posted by the Board, you will receive a "Request for Live Scan Service" from. You will be required to complete the applicant information on the form and bring all three copies with you when you go to be fingerprinted. Upon completion of the Scan; one copy of the "Request for Live Scan Service" will be held by the Live Scan operator, the second copy should be kept for your records and the third copy of the form must be sent to CSLB within 90 days after the date of the packet that contained your form.
Failure to submit your fingerprinting in a timely manner can result in a hold on your license. Don't wait until the last minute to submit your Live Scan. Contractors State License Services offers application processing services if you need assistance in completing your application.
