C-8 – Concrete Contractor
Contractors License Exam Preparation: C-8 Concrete
Running your own business as a C-8 Concrete Contractor will allow you to work on a variety of indoor and outdoor projects in both residential and commercial properties. In the state of California you must pass the CSLB state exam for a specialty C-8 Concrete contractor’s license in order to set up your own concrete contractor business. The CSLB defines a Concrete contractor as follows:
A concrete contractor forms, pours, places, finishes and installs specified mass, pavement, flat, and other concrete work; and places and sets screeds for pavements or flatwork. This class shall not include contractors whose sole contracting business is the application of plaster coatings or the placing and erecting of steel or bars for the reinforcing of mass, pavement, flat and other concrete work.
